Friday, 09. Jul 2010
I wish I could perform this wonderful music together with Valery Gergiev and Mariinsky Orchestra again and again.
Rodion Shchedrin said that there was magic in our Mikkeli performance. It was magic to play it and work again together with those great men...

You may be wondering
No concerts listed? What‘s up with that?
No worries: I have not retired or moved to the other end of the world.
I am taking a sabbatical to finally finish the novel I have been writing for a long time now.
N.W. (my main character) rightly keeps reminding me that her story needs to be told and I am the
one responsible for getting it out there. I think she’s got a point. I have given in… and will
keep you up to date, so watch this space!

Mikkeli
I was lucky enough to attend this concert at Mikkeli Music Festival. It was a great joy to discover a new pianist (at least to Finnish audiences) who coped brilliantly with the extreme difficulties of Shchedrin's Piano Concerto No 4. The review in Mikkeli's newspaper had the title : "Fantastic pianist, brilliant musician", and also Finland's most important newspaper; "Helsingin Sanomat" praised her playing and deep interpretation. It would be great to welcome you back to Mikkeli or elsewhere in Finland. Many happy returns of this success!!!
