Anika Vavic of Serbia (also) plays Prokofjew's Sonata No. 6 in a nice CD produced by the Austrian Broadcasting System (ORF), in addition to Ravel's Valses nobles, pieces by Scriabin and, above all, a Haydn Sonata, which enchants by virtue of its freshness, vitality and spirited simplicity. Good technique, loving threatment of pieces and, as the bottom line, proof that there does exist such a thing as feminine piano playing.
