Took Julian Barnes’ wonderful Shostakovich-novel The Noise of the Time to accompany me on my trip to Portugal. I have to reminisce about my last concert with the Mariinsky Orchestra and Valery Gergiev and "our" Shostakovich Piano Concerto No.2 in my hometown Belgrade - and again that special magic-like something on the stage while performing in this company.

As you can read in Austrian press, we managed quite well to bring this dream-like romantic piece closer to the Vienna audience.

How wonderful to perform the Scriabin piano concerto in the town where you live in! Looking around in the wonderful ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester one sees a lot familiar faces and the new face this time is the conductor!

Paavo Järvi, The Munich Philharmonics and I really enjoyed our three concerts last week – it was wonderful to see the audience enjoy the performance and it is great to read that the critics loved it too.

After a brief concert hiatus I am very much looking forward to performing in Munich – there are three concerts next week, so they should certainly make up for my short absence from the stage. The reason for my little break is…. Dunja, my baby daughter. She will be accompanying me for my Munich engagement, of course – so, this will be her first foray into the concert world at the age of 1.5 months!

Back in September 2013 I performed with the wonderful London Philharmonic Orchestra and Maestro Vladimir Jurowski at the Enescu Festival. Here are three videos from our performance of Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in C Major op. 26. I hope you enjoy watching them as much as we enjoyed being on stage.
